by Q: When are you ready to play amateur tournam
Hello, my name is Steven and I have been playing golf now for about 8
years. I score in the mid to high 80's and play about once or twice a
month. At what point (score wise) is a player ready to start some
amateur tournaments, and professional tournaments. I have a long way to go but
I have 25 years to practice for the senior tour. Thank you, I look forward
to your response.
- Steven
Your scores are very good for only playing eight years. I don't
think it's too early to start playing in tournaments. Many events are
flighted so that you are always playing against players that are comparable to you. All of our games change when the pressure is on,
so the sooner you play competitively the better your game will get.
